Chinese One Piece cards explained: the Simplified Chinese OPC sets
The One Piece Card Game has an official Simplified Chinese edition, published by Bandai for mainland China. It is the same game as the English and Japanese versions, with the same sets, printed in Chinese for the Chinese market. For a US or UK shop, it is a way to stock sealed One Piece that most competitors don’t carry.
When it started
Bandai launched the Chinese edition in late 2022. Starter decks came first, in November 2022, followed the same month by the first booster set, Romance Dawn. Like the English and Japanese game, the Chinese edition has continued with a steady run of booster sets since.
How the set codes work
Chinese booster sets use OPC codes that follow the main game’s numbering, with a C for China:
- OPC01 is Romance Dawn, the same set as OP01 in English.
- OPC02 is Paramount War, matching OP02, and so on through the series.
- STC codes are starter decks, and EBC codes are extra boosters.
So a buyer who knows the English set list can place any Chinese set straight away.
What’s in a box
Chinese One Piece booster boxes hold 24 packs of 6 cards, the same as English and Japanese boxes. There are no jumbo or slim versions, unlike Chinese Pokémon. Our Romance Dawn (OPC01) cases hold 12 boxes. See Chinese One Piece on our list for the exact contents of each product.
China-only promos
The Chinese edition has products of its own. Each Chinese New Year has brought a red envelope promo sold only in China, and the 2026 envelope features Sanji. Bandai has also sold China-only anniversary sets for the Chinese edition.
Can you play with Chinese cards?
Not at official events in the US or UK. Bandai’s tournament rules require English cards for the Leader and main deck in North America (Europe also accepts French). DON!! cards in any language are allowed. China runs its own official tournament circuit with the Chinese cards. In the US and UK, Chinese One Piece is for opening, collecting and display, so be clear about that in your listings.
Grading
PSA grades Simplified Chinese One Piece cards and lists them in its population reports, including the China anniversary set promos.
Selling it
- Live sellers: Chinese One Piece gives viewers something different to open. Say clearly that it is the Chinese edition and not tournament-legal in English play.
- Card shops: sealed boxes and New Year promos make a talking point next to English product.
- Mixed orders: a One Piece case can share an order with Chinese Pokémon and Riftbound, since the £2,000 minimum mixes any lines. Our live selling guide covers working out your cost per pack.
